Mommy Moments - Welcoming A New Sibling

I almost forgot that it's Friday again. I hope I am not too late..I still have an hour and 15 minutes!

Oh well, here are some picture when I gave birth to Andi. The moment I delivered (literally) Andi, the Paulinos arrived at the hospital. With matching baloons and Mc Donald party.

Here is Andi still wet from her first bath. She did not even cried, she loves water up to now. Not a single bath time that she cried, only after while changing her clothes. I wonder why she hates it when I tried to put her clothes on after each bath. Sometimes I was telling her...gusto mo hubad ka nalang? (getting mad :-( ).

This is Gabz first reaction when she saw Andi at the hospital. She was excited about her new sister coming out from mommy's tummy.

The twins and Ate Daniella, pretty much wondering how Andi got out from my tummy. Later on the twins was asking their mom if they could buy a baby at the hospital just like Tita Mel!

This is so sweet. Look how much Gabz wanted to kiss, hug and cuddle her baby sister.

she had her 4 months well check up

We had just get back from Andi's doctor a while ago for her four months immunization. Her doctor said, that her development is above average right now. She was surprised to see her two teeth in front. And I guess her upper tooth is coming soon too. I saw her rubbing it with her thumb.

She checked the ff developments:
1. Her weight is ok
2. Her height is 95% above her normal age. She is tall :-)
3. She could lift her head straight when you pull her up.
4. Head circumference is good.
5. Her vitals are good.
6. She responds to the light and sound
7. She could roll on her side and grab things
8. She could sit up straight with support
9. Having a flat at the back of her head but normal.
10. Rash on her face but not too much. Advise me to moisturize with petroleum twice a day.

She told me that I could start introducing solids too since Andis development is quite advance. But I think I could wait a little bit longer when she is five months old. I don't usually used ready to eat baby food. With Gabz I prepared her own food until such time that she was able to eat our table food.

I am glad that Andi is doing very well and that her development is above average. We will see her doctor on her six months check up.

with Ate Dan2x

Andi with her Ate Danica. She loves Andi a lot, every time she visited us, she always tried to find Andi first. If Andi is sleeping, she would climb up in the crib just to take a peek at her. If I am feeding Andi, she always insist on holding the bottle. Always wanted to hold Andi too. This time her mom allowed her to cuddle Andi in her lap. Look at her kissing Andi. They are so adorable!

Andi on the other hand had her second tooth came out. But has not mastered rolling over yet. She is rolling but up to her side only. I love hearing her giggle though :-) She giggle every time I kiss her on the neck. Love that sound !

Amazing Registry

Have you ever wished that you can put your baby registry not only on one store but to all the stores that you like? When I had a baby shower with my two girls, I always had my baby registry at one store only, and it sucks right? But now, you can have your baby registry not only on one store but on multiple stores! Isn't that great? AmazingRegistry.com has come up with this great idea for all moms by putting together your entire baby registry in one single site. Getting confuse on how this service works? Don't worry, I got confused too the first time I heard about it. It sounds complicated but it is very simple and easy to use.

First, Create your baby registry at any stores that you like. Then create an account at AmazingRegistry.com. From there you can import all your account from different stores that you had registered. They have a directory of stores, from BabiesRUs, Target.com, Walmart, JCPenney, Pottery Barn kids, The Land of Nod and a lot more. But if your store is not on their list, you can still add them on your registry. You can now tell your family and friends that you have a baby registry at AmazingRegistry.com instead of telling them the name of all the stores that you previously registered. AmazingRegistry congregate your whole registry into one single site for your convenience. Still confuse? Why not visit AmazingRegistry.com and go to their Help section. They have tons of information to help you through the process. Their website is very straight forward and easy to use. You will be surprised how convenient this new service for you. How I wish I had known about this website when I had my baby showers.

To all pregnant moms out there, check out this new service from AmazingRegistry.com. This is a great service for all of you!

Mommy Moments - New Favorite

Wow I almost forgot that it is Friday again and need to have my entry for Mommy Moments. This is really fun, I enjoyed doing this :-)

The theme for today is new favorite. Hmmm makes me think what is Gabz new favorite these past few days. As you know toddlers changed their preferences so fast that sometimes it is hard to keep track.

This is her all time favorite, soup specifically Molo Soup. Original from Iloilo. My mom always send us molo here in the US every time she has a chance. Gabz and hubby love this a lot.

Secondly, Burger Steak at Jollibee. When we were in Las Vegas we ate at Jollibee. I ordered 2 pcs of Burger Steak for her and she ate it all. Gabz is not so fond of eating rice, that is why I was surprised when she was able to finished her food. The next day, we ate there again and she requested Burger Steak once more. She said it was her favorite!

Too bad there is no Jollibee here in Seattle. She has to wait when we go home to Philippines to have another meal of Burger Steak. Kawawa naman baby ko :-)

Online help for Moms

Being a parent is one of the toughest jobs in this world. It starts from the time you conceived up to the time when they move out of your house. For some being a parent does not stop there, it is a lifetime responsibility. On the other hand it is the most fulfilling job I ever had. All the hardships of pregnancy and giving birth are forgotten the moment your baby smiles at you.

Raising a child is very confusing because sometimes you do not know what is right and what is wrong. You need all the help you can get from friends, family and online. There are a lot of websites that offer a good source of information from pregnancy, toddler, for new and old timer moms. Baby websites has offered me a lot of help especially when I had my first child.

Another website that offers good information is babiesbase.com. This website offers tips and information about pregnancy, toddler, baby, child rearing and even tips for mom on how to raise a polite and behaved child.

I like this website because of the simplicity of its layout and color. The articles are unique; like the tips on how to wash your baby bottle. This is part of the everyday routine a mom do, but we often neglect how important to keep the baby's bottles clean and hygienic. This is very simple yet very important for me. This website knows the practical and basic things a mother should know. Babiesbase.com is very new but I am looking forward for more good articles from the author. Every article is very informative but the Google ads makes my eyes confused on what I am reading because it is inside the article. And it is everywhere too!

I will definitely come back and visit babiesbase.com regularly.

Andi got her first tooth!

This past few weeks, I was wondering why Andi keep on sucking her fingers and fist at the same time drooling a lot. I thought it was just a phase. The other day, I was surprised when I saw a tiny white thing in her front gum, I wipe it with cloth thinking it was a milk residue. But then I felt something hard and rough. Oh my gosh, her tooth came out! My baby got her first tooth at 3 months! It is quite early right? I was surprised and yet glad for her. And when I inspect her gum it looks like her second front tooth is about to come out as well, because the gum is swollen. Good thing though, she is not cranky or anything, she just want to chew on her fingers always. I tried to give her tether last night and it looks like she likes it.

I am just so happy for my baby. She is such a good girl. Very proud mommy :-)

Baby Carier

My husband received a baby carrier from his Kuya as a birthday present. When we went to Las Vegas we decided not to bring the stroller because it is bulky at the same time we do not have space in the rental car. We used the baby carrier throughout our four days stay in Las Vegas, and I will tell you that it was a great help.

Benefits of Baby Carrier

1. Very Light to carry.
2. It feels like I am holding my baby all the time
3. I could see the face of my baby and what is going on with her all the time
4. No need to find the elevator when you need to go up and down
5. She could sleep soundly while you hug her
6. I can do things while holding/hugging my baby since my two hands are free

I am sure there are a lot more. More and more mother are using baby carriers or sling because of its comfort and ease.

Mommy Moments - New Year's List

mommy moments

Wow! this is my first time to join Mommy Moments. Good timing since this is the first Friday of the month and first entry for the year. Hopefully this is the sign of a good beginning for this blog.

The year 2009 was a very good year for us. We received tremendous blessings from above and almost all the things that we need and dreamt come true. We usually don't list things to accomplish or wish every year, we just tried to lived life one day at a time. For this year, I am hoping for the following things to come true. Just hoping :-)

1. First and foremost, is our immigration papers that are still pending for a couple of years now. I hope this year everything will be ok.

2. We are trying to save some money for a second car. Not necessarily brand new, just something to drop and pick Gabz to school.

3. Organize the house a little bit, includes buying more furniture.

4. Gabz will turn 4 this month and hoping to spend more time teaching her how to read and write.

5. Hopefully I can handle taking good care my two daughter on the coming months, since my parents in laws are going back to Philippines by end of the month.

6. Spend more bonding time as a family.

7. Be more active in church and catholic faith.

8. Wishing that we could go home in Philippines :-)

That is all I could think for now. I am sure there is a lot more as the days goes by. Only thing I can say, Goodluck for all of us this coming year!

The New Boss reached a new milestone!

The new boss in the office or rather in the house :-) Her Dad fancied to took her picture in her Ninong Eric's office at Microsoft. She looks so big in this picture and she is only three months old.

Last night while watching TV, I was holding her in my lap and she was trying to roll on her back. I tried to hold her loosely, to see if what she can do. After a few attempt, she was able to rolled on her back! I was so surprised, as I said she is only three months old. Hmm, I think I need to put her in her tummy more often to encourage her to roll over or rather she could practice more. But I was happy of Andi's new milestone! And I could say that this is quite early for her, but every baby's has their own character and capabilities.
